Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Oct 31 (ANI): The Iranian Consulate General in Hyderabad, Telangana is holding an Iranian Culinary Festival.
Authentic Iranian dishes such as kebabs, biryani and vegetarian options are served at the festival at Trident Hotel, Madhapur, which runs until October 31.
Celebrity Iranian chef Mona serves authentic Iranian cuisine here and receives applause from the people of Hyderabad.
Speaking to ANI, Mona said, âWe held the Iranian Food Festival here at the Trident Hotel and everyone liked it very much. Initially we started for dinner but after a great response from the crowd, management decided to open it for lunch as well. “” The restaurant is fully occupied all the time. I am really very happy with the response from the crowd, “added Mona.
âThe food festival started on October 25 and so far there has been a great response. I hope it will continue until October 31,â said Debya, manager of Trident Hotel Hyderabad.
“We thank the Iranian consulate for coming up with the idea of ââa food festival, which is also a cultural festival,” he added.
Given the response, Debya said the hotel also plans to extend the festival.
Swarup, who visited the Trident Hotel to sample Iranian cuisine here, said, âThe food is good. The Iranian palace is different from the Indian palace; the flavors are very different. It takes some getting used to, but after a few bites the flavors are nice and mellow. “” Hyderabadi’s food is much spicier and full of masala, but the flavors of Iranian dishes are softer and sweeter. The breads are very different from the bread you get in Hyderabad, “Swarup added while suggesting adding shorba to the Hyderabadi menu. (ANI)
