US Consulate Opens Registration For 2021 Women Entrepreneurship Academy | The Guardian Nigeria News



To select 200 Nigerian participants, 50 returnee women

To ensure that women have meaningful economic participation, security and stability, the United States Consulate General (United States) in Lagos and the Ascend Studios Foundation have partnered to implement the 2021 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs. (AWE), a free U.S. government initiative that supports women entrepreneurs around the world.

Participants who graduate from this year’s AWE, which will run from July to September 2021, will automatically become members of the U.S. Government Alumni Exchange Community, providing access to a vast network of like-minded professionals. and highly regarded across the country.

Being the third edition, the highly competitive entrepreneurship program will have 200 participants selected from the 17 southern states of Nigeria for the 2021 cohort. In addition, in order to support the overall rehabilitation and reintegration of returning migrants, 50 returnee women will participate. also on the program.
